They claim my mien is proud
Due to the lion's mane upon my head I bare
The truth varies though a little must I say
For deep within the ribbed cage
A lonely wolf strays here and there
Prowling in a restless search
To find a breach in his bony cell
And how, oh how he cranes his neck
The deplorable little pest
He'd like to be a bird and fly
Fly away to God knows where
Glide through Heaven's cloudy gates and never
Never ever land on Earth again
Due to the lion's mane upon my head I bare
The truth varies though a little must I say
For deep within the ribbed cage
A lonely wolf strays here and there
Prowling in a restless search
To find a breach in his bony cell
And how, oh how he cranes his neck
The deplorable little pest
He'd like to be a bird and fly
Fly away to God knows where
Glide through Heaven's cloudy gates and never
Never ever land on Earth again
